The Defender runs a 650cc HD7 or 976cc HD9 Rotax engine through a CVT with selectable Turf, 2WD, and 4WD modes and a Visco-Lok auto-locking front differential. Double A-arm front and TTA rear suspension each deliver 10 inches of travel over 11 inches of ground clearance. Dual 220 mm disc brakes handle stopping at all four corners.
