Equipped with a 21″ front and 18″ rear wheel, the new DesertX is designed to handle even the most challenging off-road terrain. Ducati has combined its road expertise with dedicated off-road development to create a responsive, easy-to-handle bike that is at ease on all types of trail and asphalt.
DESIGN
The DesertX aesthetic manages to combine a “Dakarian” flavor with a sense of the touch interface. Both post-heritage and digital. The bike is visually composed of three macro elements: a single central volume, the seat, and the windshield, which incorporates the double headlight. A robust design that blends form and function. The surfaces in contact with the rider are expansive and well connected, allowing unhindered movement in different directions, particularly during off-road riding.
ELECTRONICS AT THE SERVICE OF SAFETY, VERSATILITY AND STYLE
DesertX, like all Ducati models, has advanced electronics for safety and performance in all conditions. The electronic equipment is completed by a package of rider assistance systems: Traction Control, Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, Cornering ABS, Quickshifter Up & Down, and Cruise Control, to make long-distance riding even more relaxing. The DesertX is equipped with a 5″ TFT color display ready for integration with the Ducati Multimedia System (and oriented vertically to offer the best visibility even when riding standing up).
