Inspired by our scramblers of the early 1970s, the SCL500 reimagines that iconic style motorcycle with a modern flair. Featuring the hugely popular and always-ready-to-deliver Rebel 500-based engine, it’s tailored for today’s riders and engineered for today’s roads. DOHC TWIN-CYLINDER ENGINE
Offering plenty of power and torque in the midrange, it features a 471cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. Light, narrow, and powerful, it just strikes the perfect balance of what a mid-sized motorcycle engine should be.
ANTI-LOCK BRAKES
Anti-lock brakes (ABS) come standard, helping you make smoother, more controlled stops under less-than-ideal riding conditions.
SLIPPER/ASSIST CLUTCH
The slipper/assist clutch lets us lighten up the clutch-lever effort by 30 percent compared to previous systems, but automatically locks up tight when you release it.
UNIQUE SCRAMBLER STYLE
This bike gets the scrambler-style look just right: high-mount muffler, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels with wide rims, and a blacked-out engine and frame.
DIGITAL INSTRUMENTATION
An easy-to-read LCD screen features a digital speedometer, tachometer and more, including a clock, odometer, trip meter, real-time and average fuel consumption meters and illuminated engine diagnostic indicators.
